Women's Programs

The Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club encourages the fast growing interest of women shooters. In 2013 the CRPC Women’s Programs was established to offer a variety of programs specifically tailored to women’s interests, attract women to the sport of shooting, and more fully integrate women into all facets of the club’s operations.

CRPC hosts programs designed for women shooters of all skill levels, from those who have never pulled a trigger to those who are championship shooters. CRPC Women’s Programs provide a variety of opportunities in the disciplines of pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting for women members and non-members.

NRA Women on Target^® Instructional Shooting Clinics are held at the CRPC outdoor ranges. Designed for new shooters, this program can benefit women shooters of all levels.

Women's Program Classes

Our new Women's Program Director, Stephanie Hopkins, is busy creating some great training programs,
and to kick off the new year, is offering the two classes below:

Back to the Basics Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 9:30 - 11:30 AM at the Indoor Range

This is a fundamentals course which is geared towards new shooters with no experience or those shooters
who had some experience but maybe marksmanship can be improved. This class is hosted for women only!
The first half will be in the classroom and the second half will be on the range shooting a firearm
as well as getting some shooter specific tips!

Less Lethal Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 7 - 8 PM at the Outdoor Range Classroom

This class is geared for those times when you 1) are not legally justified to use deadly force and
2) those times when you simply can't carry one with you (such as schools, post offices, etc.).
You will learn some important laws in regards to using deadly force as well as other
options for protection and have some tester products as well.
